There are no such rules in designing for using the software. We can also use Microsoft paint for designing(Lol)! However, if we keep the purpose of the design in mind there are some rules.
As we all know there are two types of images
Both of these image types have their particular uses. Vector images are mostly used in printing as they don’t have any pixels so images don’t get blurred while printing
whereas raster images have pixels so while zooming the image it may get blurred or pixelated.
So the question here again is how we have to decide which software to use.
Again the Same answer so there is no such rules regarding software but if we are designing any of the things which need to be printed then we need to use vector-based software if we are only designing some digital banners or Digital Image then we can go with Raster base software.
So, how many software are available in the market to work with?
There are many software available in the market to use but among all the software I am sharing some names that are widely used worldwide.
1. Adobe Photoshop
Photoshop is used for making all the artwork, Social Media Design, Banners, Small GIFs, Posters, flyers, and many more. It is raster-based software so if we are designing anything that needs to be printed then we should take care regarding the resolutions.
2. Adobe Illustrator
Illustrator is vector base software used for designing logos, and all printables like brochures, flyers, hoarding banners, etc as all of them are mostly used for printing it is best to work with.
3. CorelDraw
CorelDraw again is vector base software but is widely used in India for print base designs. Same as an illustrator it is used for designing logos, and all printables like brochures, flyers, hoarding banners, etc as all them are mostly used for printing it is best to work with.
4. Canva
Canva is widely used for designing digital content as all other tools are hard to learn Canva is most easy to use and does not need any heavy equipment to get started.
Conclusion
There are no rules for choosing designing software we can use any of them but the purpose of the design should be clear.
